Ain't No Beat Block

I recently started a new music production collective called Ain’t No Beat Block. Ain’t No Beat Block is a music production collective in which each member of the group contributes a track towards a project each month. We have dropped 2 volumes so far on SoundCloud and are already in the process of creating the 3rd project which will drop sometime next month.

Alongside creating full-length projects together, we collaborate, support and gas up one another in our group chat. Producers exchange loops, come up with ideas, and ask questions to one another and so far it has been a fun and enjoyable experience. It is cool to see what producers can do when they come together to create instead of strictly competing against one another. There are a lot of competitive people in the music production space, but I feel like competing against one another is counterintuitive. Producers should be working together synergistically to create the best music possible instead of attempting to work against each other.

If you’re an artist, I guarantee that you will find a beat you love and want to use for your next project. There is a wide enough variety of sounds on each of the first two volumes that it is impossible not to find a track that you vibe with. If you are a producer, you should spin one of the volumes before you cook up if you need a little inspiration or want to find a new type of beat to replicate.
