DRIVING 2 JUPITER : THE 5 W's

I recently dropped my latest project Driving 2 Jupiter on March 24th and wanted to give everyone some more background on the project regarding my motivations, inspirations, and creation of the project. Also, I think that writing in this way will give me a better understanding of where I get some of my creative spark so that I can use it to my advantage in the future. WHO

Me bitch. Just kidding, I had a few people help me along the way through the creation of this project. I first obviously have to shoutout my lovely girlfriend Antonia. Without her I never would have had the spark of inspiration to drop this project so for that I am grateful because I think this project turned out fire. Antonia is credited as an assistant producer on my project for her role in both helping with the name of my project and listening to songs with me to track list the EP. The only other person who played a role in this project is the homie Adriano Di Mauro or @HelloFunnyPeople on Instagram. He has been making artwork for me for the past couple years now and really helps to bring my creative vision to life. Go check out his shit! There wasn't really anyone in specific who inspired me musically for this project. I inspire myself bitch.

WHAT

That’s It, that's what it is

WHEN

Yoooo so this one is actually pretty interesting. So like I said this project kind of came up on a whim. I didn’t like have dedicated fuckin studio sessions to record this whole project like the Beatles or some rockband ass shit. I just accumulated these tracks over time. Despite this I really feel like they all fit together perfectly. The surprising thing is that these songs were made pretty far apart and lowkey a long ass time ago. Black Dwarf was originally made all the back in October of 2019 and In Orbit was made in December of that year. Jupiter’s Legacy is the most recent track on the project, which was created in July of 2022. Moral of the story is it takes me waaaaaay too fuckin long to drop my music and I need to release things more consistently.

WHERE

All of these tracks were recorded in my old apartment in Downtown Denver. Shoutout LoDo

WHY

Creativity and ideas often come on a whim, and you have to take advantage of them whenever they happen. I can’t remember when it was for certain, but I think I know when this project first came to life in some form or another. My girlfriend and I were sitting around listening to some of my beats whenever she had an idea of a name for a song…Driving 2 Jupiter. The beat that we were listening to didn’t end up being on the project, however it sparked some inspiration for me to come up with some tracks that I thought fit well with the outer space vibe. Driving 2 Jupiter is a pretty fuckin sick name for a project so I had to roll with it and come up with something. The only other why I have besides that is really that I feel my music is fire I just have to keep getting it out there to the world and releasing as much quality music as I can. I need to stay consistent in releasing content so I don’t have old tracks sitting around waiting to be dropped for years.

Hope you enjoyed this lil write up for my new project. I might do more of these in the future not shore yet. In the meantime...hop in goofy, we are Driving 2 Jupiter!!!
